About Saint-Lary

At Saint-Lary village (830m), you'll discover the warm, authentic atmosphere of a true Pyrenean village in the heart of the Aure Valley.
Here you will find all you would expect of a bustling french village with its patisseries and boulangeries, shops, restaurants and bars.
 
In the village you will find the ski lifts and cable cars directly to the mountains. Skiing at St Lary spreads over a total area of 700ha. It is divided into three distinct areas, Saint-Lary 1700, 1900 and 2400. These areas interconnect and are linked by a variety of ski lifts. Navigation from one to the other is easy. Saint-Lary is a dynamic winter sports destination and the skiing is tremendous. The domain has been excellently planned to suit the needs of skiers of different abilities.
 
In the Summer you will often find the Tour de France passing through! You can also visit the wonderful lakes and there are two local swimming pools in the village, or you can go walking or hiking from your door and enjoy the beautiful countryside.

The Chalet

This large, newly renovated Traditional Alpine Style Ski Chalet offers superb accommodation for large groups of up to 18 people, or for smaller groups, it can be separated into 3 apartments sleeping 4/6.
 
It offers self catering modern facilities with tasteful decor and each apartment has its own privacy and front door access.
The middle and ground floor can be joined via a lockable staircase if 2 apartments or more booked together if wished. The middle apartment is the largest and is an excellent entertaining and meeting place if hiring the whole house.
 
It is situated in a quiet hamlet with parking for 3 or 4 cars at the premises with just a 10 minute walk to the bustling village of St Lary Soulan with shops, restaurants, bars and ski lifts.
 
The chalet has the benefi of wifi access in all apartments.
 
 
 

Location

Saint-Lary is located in the Midi-Pyrenees the largest region in France. It is 80km south of the department capital Tarbes located next to the Le Néouvielle Nature Reserve and the Pyrenees National Park.
 
This is a spectacularly beautiful part of France and an excellent location for all year round activity holidays especially skiing and walking, and is a 30 minute driving distance to Spain. Or you can drive to Lourdes which is the world's most beloved Shrine for Catholics which is nestled in a valley in the southwestern part of the Hautes-Pyrenees, it is the scene of pilgrims gathering from all over the world. 
 
Saint-Lary Soulan is also an ideal location for watching the Tour de France as it passes right through the village and is an internationally spectacular event.
